Hello! I’m Ann Lambson, and welcome to Well Designed Living, a blog about living intentionally and beautifully. Immersed in a world of design through my work at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. and the Brigham Young University Museum of Art and as a consultant for the Smithsonian Institution, I’m a museum educator and working mom who decided to go part-time to focus more on family and home.
I am inspired by design, art, creativity, people, places, nature, and making. I love to shape and be shaped by my surroundings. Create, inspire, experience, reflect – Well Designed Living features how-to’s, travel experiences, and discussions about design and making while also following the remodeling of our charming 1940 home.
I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with my amazing and witty husband of seventeen years, Jeff, our precocious nine-year-old daughter, Lizzie, and our 16-year-old geriatric and adored cat, Dante.
